PROTECT OUR FOREST
URGENT:
Logging Plan Approved
224 acres of Redwoods and Douglas Firs will be logged along the Russian River in Guerneville.
We need your help to protect the forest, its wildlife, and our community.
The little town of Guerneville is situated among some of the most beautiful and unique Redwood forests in the world - home to several endangered and sensitive species. Some of these precious lands are now threatened by a 224 acre logging plan, recently approved by the California Dept. of Forestry (Cal Fire).
We need your help to protect and enhance these sensitive woodlands.
Please help us to:
Protect the environment by promoting a healthy forest
Protect against fire by ensuring proper land management
Protect public safety by reducing the risk of landslides
Protect the water quality of the Russian River
Protect the visual beauty of the Russian River and the economic benefits of tourism
Protect and promote the historic 2,000 year old Clar Tree, the tallest Redwood in Sonoma
Protect against climate change: Redwoods absorb significantly more carbon than ‘regular’ trees
